"Scott Gershin, Director of Sound Editorial at the Sound Lab at Technicolor, has taken audiences on immersive journeys for nearly three decades, providing sound services on films such as Nightcrawler, Pacific Rim, Hellboy 2, Team America, Shrek and American Beauty. His work can be heard on games such as Doom (2016), Epic Mickey, the Gears of War series, the Resident Evil series and the Fable series, as well as VR experiences including My Brother’s Keeper, Pacific Rim: The VR Experience, Giant, Tree, Pentatonix “Up on the Housetop”, Major Crimes VR and Wonder Buffalo.
Before joining Technicolor, Scott was Founder and Executive Creative Director of Soundelux Design Music Group and Executive Creative Director/Supervising Sound Designer and Mixer at Formosa Group. He has been recognized multiple times by MPSE, GANG, NAMM Foundation, BAFTA, DICE, and The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
Scott embraced technology early in his career to better help tell stories through audio. He pioneered the use of computers to edit and design sound against picture. As an ""audio photographer"", he captures the sounds of life and manipulates them in new and exciting ways to bring the director's vision to life. "
